Autumn Tart – Crostata Autunnale
Music: Together, Michelle Branch. When we were little girls, my sister and I used to play with Barbies – now we’re playing with pastries. We love meeting in my kitchen, creaming butter and sugar, dicing fruit and smelling cinnamon and vanilla everywhere. A few weeks ago, I had a bad day and baking this tart with my sister turned it into a lovely one. Life always knows the right moment to show you what you need.
Ingredients (for 4 small tarts):
130 gr butter
60 gr powdered sugar
1 egg
190 gr flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 pinch salt
1 vanilla bean, seeds removed
some autumn fruit, diced (I used 1 oarnge+1 apple+1 pear)
cinnamon
plum jam (or any jam you like)
Cream together the butter and the powdered sugar. Add the vanilla seeds. Incorporate the egg, then the flour, the baking powder and the salt. Place in the fridge for 2 hours, then lay in the tart moulds. In a bowl, mix the diced fruits with some grounded cinnamon, depending on your taste. Cover the tart base with some jam, then top with the diced fruits. Bake in a 180° C oven for about 20 minutes or until golden. Eat warm.
hanno tutti i colori dell’autunno, belle ma saranno state anche buone…a quando una degustazione?
