Modican Chocolate Cookies – Biscotti al Cioccolato Modicano

Music: St. Teresa, Joan Osborne. What I love about this song is that it sounds intimate, familiar, and effortless. Maybe primitive. Like these crunchy, chocolaty cookies with Modican chocolate, crumbling on your tongue. Effortlessness is the best thing.

Ingredients:

200 gr LaEqua 70% Modica Chocolate

120 gr LaEqua Orange Modica Chocolate, small pieces

5o gr butter

2 eggs

120 gr sugar

210 gr flour

1 Tsb Venchi cocoa powder

1/2 baking powder

1 pinch Fleur de Sel

Melt the 70% chocolate and the butter together, then turn off the heat and let cool. Beat the eggs with the sugar until fluffy. Add the chocolate/butter mixture, then add the flour, the cocoa powder, the salt and the baking powder. Mix well but briefly. Add the orange chocolate pieces , leaving a few for the topping. Place spoonfuls of the cookie mixture on a baking tray. Top the cookies with the remaining chocolate pieces. Bake at 160° C for about 20 minutes.
