Chocolate & Fleur de Sel Cookies – Biscotti al Cioccolato e Fior di Sale
Music: False Alarm, KT Tunstall. I hate false alarms, hate to be proven wrong in my convictions, and weirdly I loved these cookies. The cruncy topping may be mistaked for granulated sugar, but it’s Fleur de Sel. You find it out and still they are the best cookies! A false false alarm.
250 gr butter
125 gr powdered sugar
1 vanilla bean, seeds removed
350 gr flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 pinch salt
50 gr Venchi chilli pepper dark chocolate
Fleur de Sel
Cream together the butter with the sugar and the vanilla seeds. Add the egg, then the flour, the baking powder and the salt. Mix well and place in the fridge for one hour. Cut the cookies with a cookie cutter and bake in a 180° C oven until lightly golden (10-15 minutes). Let cool completely. Then melt the chocolate, brush the cookies and top with some salt. Let cool before eating.
